London doesn't stop, despite the sometimes chaotic governance and the overall state of it's host country - the United Kingdom. Despite Brexit, a global pandemic, populism and slowing growth, London stays relevant. It's a huge metropolis, and will grow by another 700'000-1'000'000 people the coming decade. London remains Europe's hub of finance, arts, design, and (aside from Silicon Valley) the world's hub research in data science.
London has a vibe, and has a skill clout. It draws people in from all over the world, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
